Art you can wear.

This is not just a jacket — it's a canvas. The back carries a hand-painted panel framed in ivory crochet lace: three tall wildflower stems in green, their buds picked out in coral and gold, rising across a color-blocked ground of deep purple and warm coral. The same ivory lace runs over the collar. Nothing here is printed or transferred — it was painted by hand, one stroke at a time.

Because it's painted rather than printed, the flowers have real texture and honest variation: visible brush marks, layered color, edges that aren't machine-perfect. That's the signature of a hand-painted piece, and it's what separates it from anything on a rack.

Fit & Sizing

This jacket is a standard Medium. Denim jackets are meant to sit close through the shoulder with room to layer underneath, so if you're between sizes and plan to wear a sweater under it, size up. Want exact measurements before you commit? Message the studio and I'll measure this specific jacket for you — chest, length, sleeve — and send them over the same day.

How to Wear It

Hand-painted florals want a calm background. Solid neutrals — white, cream, black, denim on denim — let the painting read clearly. Throw it over a simple dress for a spring wedding or a market morning, or wear it with jeans and a tee and let it be the only thing anyone comments on. The cropped hem sits well over a high waist.

Caring for Painted Denim

Painted denim needs a gentler hand than plain denim. Spot clean whenever you can. For a full wash, turn it inside out, use cold water on a delicate cycle, and always hang to dry — dryer heat is what cracks paint. Avoid folding hard across a painted area for long storage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there more than one of these?

No. This is a one-of-a-kind piece, handmade in the studio. Once it sells it won't be remade.

Can I get exact measurements?

Yes — message the studio and I'll measure this jacket and send you the numbers before you order.

How do I wash it?

Spot clean when possible; otherwise turn it inside out, cold water on delicate, hang to dry. Never the dryer.

Can you make me one like it?

I don't recreate a sold piece, but I do take custom commissions. Reach out and tell me what you have in mind.
