Earth tones, turquoise, and a gold flower at the center.

This 18-inch strand runs rich brown and cream beads against pops of turquoise — a palette borrowed straight from the desert, and one of the few colour stories that works equally well in July and November. A gold flower pendant sits at the center to warm the whole thing up.

Turquoise and brown is a classic Southwestern pairing for a reason: the blue reads brighter next to warm earth tones than it ever does on its own. Add gold and it moves from casual to something you can wear to dinner.

Where 18 Inches Sits

Eighteen inches is the classic princess length — on most people it falls just below the collarbone, at the top of the breastbone. It's the most versatile length there is: visible above a crew neck, well placed inside an open collar, and the right starting point if you want to layer something longer underneath.

How to Style It

Wear it solo against a cream sweater or a chambray shirt and let the turquoise do the talking. Layer it with a longer gold chain for a bohemian stack. It's a natural with denim, suede, leather and anything in camel or rust, and it's an easy bridge piece if you own turquoise rings or earrings and want something to tie them to.

Materials & Care

Turquoise is a porous stone and genuinely doesn't like chemicals — perfume, hairspray, lotion and chlorine can all dull it over time. Put the necklace on after you're ready and take it off before you wash. Store it flat and separate from harder pieces, and wipe it with a soft dry cloth.

Frequently Asked Questions

What length is it?

18 inches.

What is it made from?

Semiprecious stone beads with gold-plated metal and enamel elements.

Can I wear it in the pool or ocean?

Better not to. Chlorine and salt both damage plated finishes and porous stones. Take it off first.
